Weekend trip to Kansas City

(View of Kansas City, MO)
This past weekend we decided to take a little trip to Kansas City, MO and see what we could find. Some of the things I liked about this city was that wherever you go you'll find something that catches your attention, for me it was the museums because its just interesting to learn about history, the way the buildings looked, how when you go to one part of the city you're in a totally different place and   how there are fountains in random places. Kansas City is known for their fountains, in being called The City of Fountains, which is an  interesting fact.

(One of the many fountains, located by country club plaza)

Some of the places we visited:
**If you're visiting the Nelson-Atkins Museum check out the Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Masterpieces of Modern Mexico exhibit it is something you gotta see. Exhibit goes on from June 1, 2013-August 18, 2013.
  • 18th and Vine known as the historic Jazz district, you can check out different Jazz venues and learn about Jazz history at the The American Jazz Museum
  • Crowne Plaza (the mall)
  • Country Club Plaza
  • Power & Light District where you find local bars and clubs, its pretty cool because its a $15 cover after 12am and only $10 before and you get two ticket entries to clubs.
  • Strawberry Hill mansion, which is known as a haunted house where it used to be an orphanage during the year 1919.
It's definitely a nice area to visit. Hopefully we can go back soon.
Until next time... onto some more STREETVENTURES!
